Camping Ministry Serving GRR Churches

Lake Springfield Baptist Camp and Blackhawk Baptist Camp operate as independent not-for-profit organizations. Each of these organizations has its own board and executive officers. They will be "partner institutions" as campus ministries and neighborhood action centers are now (with no "legal affiliation" with the ABC GRR nor the ABCUSA). Read ABCGRR Ministry Board Action.

How does this effect you?

• Each camp will manage their own registration procedures, both paper and online.

• Churches can continue to support camping through their regular mission support through the region like any other ABC institution and get American Baptist Mission Support credit for it.

• Each camp will operate their own web site, no longer hosted by the ABCGRR: LSBConline.com; blackhawkcamp.org)

• Send news about camping to these organizations, not the ABCGRR web editor.

• The ABCGRR site will only list links to those sites and directions to those camps as a service to our "ministry partners." (see below).
