The Gathering 2023 by Second Baptist Church

November 10 @ 7:30 am – November 12 @ 12:00 pm Second Baptist Church Peoria, Illinois
The theme of our weekend will be, “Stressed: Find Rest,” and our main scripture will be Matthew 11:28-30. Online registration is now open, using the link at the bottom of the page. The cost is $50 for students and $35 for adult leaders. Within this packet you will find the schedule of events, hotel list, a waiver and other information that will be important in planning your youth group’s trip to The Gathering (feel free to make copies for your students). There is also a student application form for students interested in interviewing to be on the board. We ask that student’s be a sophomore or a junior in order to apply. Interviews will take place on Saturday of the event.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s speaker is Noah Porzelius. He is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Graymont. He is a pastor, a farmer and also co-directs jr. high camp at Lake Springfield Baptist Camp. Noah is married to his wife, Amy, and they have a son, Kanan. We are excited to have Noah as our speaker this year!
We will have workshops scheduled for the event. Workshops will be geared towards jr,high/middle school and high school. We will also have mission opportunities for your students to serve the local community.
