Vicki Lee Roth, 80, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Crainville Baptist Church, with Rev. Cana Austin officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the church.

Vicki was born September 1, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, to William Guy and Vivian May (Reppert) Heflin. She married Rev. David M. Roth on August 29, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2019.
She is survived by her children, Bethany (Tim) Houghlan, Jordan (Heather von Hagn) Roth, and Rev. Cana (Brandon) Austin; grandchildren, Ethan Tanner, Landon Tanner, and Crosby Tanner, Camille Roth, Chloe Roth, Ryan Houghlan, Daniel Houghlan, Jonathan Houghlan, and Anakyn Norwood; sisters, Susan (Robert) Brown, and Becky (Jim) Yeigh; brothers, Bill (Norma) Heflin, Phil (Marianne) Murray, Bruce Murray, and Paul Murray; plus many nieces and nephews.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Woodrow Murray; and brothers, Ken and Wayne Murray.
She was the 1962 Salutatorian of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Vicki achieved her Bachelor of Arts, graduating with distinction, from Judson University in 1967, and later graduating with a Master of the Arts in Religion from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1970.
Vicki spent many years serving the community through her work in social services, providing compassionate care and support to countless individuals and families. In addition to her professional career, Vicki also shared her knowledge and passion for education as a substitute school teacher, leaving a lasting impact on many young minds.
Vicki was the embodiment of a Christian woman. Her entire life she was devoted to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her door was always open and there were always extra seats at her table. A faithful and active member of Crainville Baptist Church, Vicki was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to her church community. She was deeply involved in various church activities and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Vicki taught Sunday school, was the leader of several youth groups and led many bible studies over the years. Her love for her Lord and His children was evident in everything she did. Vicki, along with her husband, David, dedicated their lives to their Lord and Savior, their family, and His church.
Vicki spent her free time creating beautiful art, oil paintings were her favorite. She also enjoyed music, baking, and trivia.
